For Regimental Band, a parade to remember

On Jan. 21 Norwich’s Regimental Band marched down Pennsylvania Avenue for the 57th Inaugural Parade after being honored for the seventh time to represent the university and the state of Vermont.

Marching from the 8th row back

We took our seats back on our tour bus, which we’d become acquainted with from hours earlier. There was an unusual loss of words for the band members as we attempted to swallow the monumental experience we had just had. The quiet in our warm bus separated us from the chill of the music, cheering, and night winter sky we had just left. Some cadets exchanged smiles with simple, but whole-hearted comments like, “that was awesome.”

Sports teams use winter break for more training time

This winter, the average Norwich student had a minimum of three weeks to spend with their family over the holiday break depending on when their last final was. Not everyone was so lucky, however.

Club Hockey season brings excitement to campus

Since Norwich’s club hockey team took the ice this season, their fan base has dramatically increased for the team. It will now be able to follow them into playoffs, as long as the players can focus on a clean game and raise enough money to support their traveling.
